Editorial standards
Useful, sourced, and clear about uncertainty.
Primary sources
Commercial product claims come from the contracted supplier feed, product terms, approved network information, payment records, and documented support outcomes. Outside commentary may add context but cannot verify a product.
Retail and editorial separation
Margin may affect whether a product is commercially sustainable, but it cannot make an ineligible or unverified record publishable. Wholesale costs stay private.
Prices and updates
A displayed retail price needs a current verification date. A product becomes stale or paused when current inventory, cost, or customer-facing terms cannot be confirmed.
Corrections
Material corrections update the page, source record, and verification date. A product with unresolved conflicts is removed from checkout.
Testing
Desk research is not described as hands-on testing. Any first-person test must identify the device, destination, method, and date.
Automation
Software may normalize supplier fields, detect changes, and prepare drafts. It may not invent coverage, reviews, results, prices, or customer experiences.
